Message (optional): Hello,
I am writing to you because I am searching for German learning and practizing opportunities in Indy.
I (German citizen and hence German is my mother tongue) travel the US quite a lot. During my next trip I will bring my wife to Indy with me (next Sept & Oct). She is a Chinese citizen but speaks English fluently. Currently she is studying the German language via an intensive class at the Mannheim university. Her level by the end of August will be A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_European_Framework_of_Reference_for_Languages).
When she is in Indy, she wants to continue her language learning effort, either via courses or / and private tutors. We thought about courses at local unis (if available and eligible) or at any other provider. However, I realized that private language schools such as Berlitz are ‘a little bit’ expensive since we have to pay this courses out of our own pocket. Any ideas?
A good alternative could be private tutors, such as German students or mother tongue speakers who enjoy working with other people and have fun teaching. Do you have any connections / ideas regarding this case?
Any help, hint and assistance is highly appreciated. Thanks a lot already! We are looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
Thomas & Jing
